Our Programs
The Annenberg Foundation Trust at Sunnylands was established in 2001 for charitable, scientific, literary, and educational purposes. In its first six years, the Trust has focused on four goals:
- improving civics education and understanding of democratic institutions
- disseminating information on treatment of prevalent adolescent mental disorders
- increasing the contact among and impact of Annenberg-funded organizations
- holding retreats to improve the functioning of democratic institutions
Sunnylands' Constitution Project
Among the goals of the Sunnylands Trust is improving civics education and understanding of democratic institutions. In furtherance of that mission, the Trust creates and distributes print, online and video materials on the Constitution to provide schools and institutions with high-quality programs for use around Constitution Day in September and beyond.

On November 5 and 6, 87 students and 40 teachers from 34 states, plus Puerto Rico, gathered in Washington to meet with justices of the United States Supreme Court, a project of the Annenberg Foundation Trust at Sunnylands.
