Our Mission
The Annenberg Foundation Trust at Sunnylands ("Trust") was established in 2001 by The Annenberg Foundation primarily to address serious issues facing the nation and the world community. The Trust engages in a variety of educational and charitable programs, including:
Hosting and participating in retreats and conferences where:
- Government officials of the United States convene with world leaders to promote world peace and facilitate international agreement.
- The President of the United States, the Cabinet, the United States Supreme Court, and the bipartisan leadership of both the United States House of Representatives and the United States Senate meet to address important issues regarding the three branches of government.
- Leaders from major social institutions such as universities, public schools, charities, governmental agencies and important public bodies meet to address and determine how these institutions might better serve the public and the public good.
- Leaders in the humanities, social sciences, education, philanthropy, the arts and culture and major medical and scientific associations and institutions meet to facilitate the exchange of ideas and communication among such leaders for purposes of advancing the common good and public interest.
Educating visitors through public access on the significance of the historical and architectural importance of the property known as "Sunnylands" located in Rancho Mirage, California.
